For added safety and peace of mind, Corolla now comes standard with a Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) with Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA). BSM alerts you to the presence of vehicles in adjacent lanes that may have escaped visibility in your side-view mirrors. While RCTA warns you about cross-traffic you can't see while backing up.
