For added safety and peace of mind, Corolla SE and XSE grades come standard with a Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) with Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) and Safe Exist Alert. BSM alerts you to the presence of vehicles in adjacent lanes that may have escaped visibility in your side-view mirrors. RCTA warns you about cross-traffic you can’t see while backing up and Safe Exit Alert helps prevent a collision between an open door and a vehicle or cyclist approaching from behind.
